Paradise Garage Brick (Demolition Salvage)
Original brick salvaged from the site of Paradise Garage shortly after the building’s demolition. The brick was personally collected by Victor Simonelli at the time the structure was being cleared.
Paradise Garage operated from 1977 to 1987 and is widely regarded as one of the most influential clubs in dance music history, closely associated with Larry Levan and the development of modern club sound systems and DJ culture. Following its closure, the building remained standing for years before being demolished around 2018, marking a final physical erasure of the space.
Victor retrieved this brick directly from the site during that transitional moment - when the venue shifted from living memory to physical absence. The surface shows visible wear, mortar residue and age consistent with structural material.
