Nuyorican Soul Signed Boxset
This signed Nuyorican Soul boxset was obtained through the same early-2000s Deep House Page competition via which Victor Simonelli acquired the signed Masters at Work set.
Nuyorican Soul was the late-1990s collaborative project of Louie Vega and Kenny Dope, issued as a project by Masters at Work. The release marked a defining moment in house music’s orchestral and Latin crossover, blending live musicianship with club production.
The outer box is signed in black marker by both Vega and Dope, including the inscription “Kenny ‘Dope’,” alongside personalised thanks. The packaging carries the original “A project by Masters At Work” branding and Talkin’ Loud Recordings presentation.
Interior materials (visible in the booklet) document the album’s extensive live collaborations, including appearances by Tito Puente, George Benson, Roy Ayers, India, Hilton Ruiz and Benny Diggs. The photography and credits reflect the album’s live-band recording approach, distinguishing it from sample-based house releases of the era.
